The library depends on citizen involvement to ensure that its services are as reflective of community needs as possible. Eva K. Bowlby Public Library Board of Trustees is a 9-member board. As a policy-making body, it guides the development of library services. Terms on the board are three years. The board meets on the fourth Monday of each month at 6:30 p.m.
Effective trustees bring to the library knowledge of the community, a commitment to the rights of citizens to information, and willingness to continually maintain and strengthen library services in western Greene County serving 16 townships and 3 boroughs. The service area of the library also encompasses Central Greene School District, Jefferson-Morgan School District, and West Greene School District. Our goal is to recruit trustee members from municipalities within our service area.
